- Length of pause = .5 (between each group of 3: x2 = 1)
Math: 1.5 x 9 = 13.5 + 1 = 14.5 (finishes on 15)
(Note: Because all 9 repetitions are not evenly spaced, some may call this a chakradar tihai.)

Jhaptal Simple Chakradar
(about the Tintal Simple Chakradar)
- Length of chakradar: 21 (2 avartans plus sam)
- Length of repetition: 7
- Length of mukhra: 2
- Length of tihai: 5
- Length of tihai phrase: 1.5
- Length of pause between repetitions: 0
In chakradar tihai forms, each repetition has both a mukhra (opening) plus a tihai. So we have to do the math for the overall chakradar, for the mukhra-tihai division of the repetition, and for the repetition’s tihai.
Math:
- Overall Chakradar Math: 7 x 3 = 21
- Repetition Math: 2 (mukhra) + 5 (tihai) = 7
- Tihai Math: 1.5 x 3 = 4.5 (finishes on 5)
Simple Chakradar Structure:
Simple Chakradar Example:
Simple Chakradar Example 2 (4 avartans):
The Simple Chakradar form in jhaptal is often double the length of the form above (4 avartans instead of 2). The main repetition is now 13 matras.
Math for 4-avartan Simple Chakradar:
- Overall Chakradar Math: 13 x 3 = 39 + 2 = 41
- Repetition Math: 4 (mukhra) + 9 (tihai) = 13
- Tihai Math: 3 x 3 = 9
More Simple Chakradar Examples:
- Jhaptal – Benares Bant 2
- Jhaptal Benares Kayda 3 (4-avartan version)
- Jhaptal Benares Chakradar Tukras 1 and Jhaptal Benares Chakradar Tukras 2 (Note: These two are slight variations of the 4-avartan structure: the main repetition is 13.5 matras, with no pause in between.)

- Length of repetition: 17
- Length of mukhra: 6
- Length of tihai: 11
- Length of tihai phrase: 3.5
- Length of pause between repetitions: 0
Math:
- Overall Chakradar Math: 17 x 3 = 51
- Repetition Math: 6 (mukhra) + 11 (tihai) = 17
- Tihai Math: 3.5 x 3 = 10.5 (finishes on 11)
