- Length of tihai = 15 (1 avartan plus sam)
- Length of phrase = 4.75 matras or 19 quarter-matras
- Length of pause = 0

Math in quarter-matras: 19 x 3 = 57 (14.25 matras)
Sam-to-Sam Bedam Tihai Structure:
Sam-to-Sam Bedam Tihai Example:
Arachartal Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka/Chakradar Tihai–1 (1 avartan)
- Length of tihai = 15 (1 avartans plus sam)
- Length of phrase = 1.5
- Length of pause = .5 (between groups of 3: x2 = 1)
Math: 1.5 x 9 = 13.5 + 1 = 14.5 (finishes on 15)
(Note: This is the same form as the Rupak 2-avartan nauhakka.
Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–1 Structure:
Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–1 Example:
Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–1 Example 2:
This nauhakka form can also be performed at double the length shown above (2 avartans instead of 1). The total length is then 29 matras, the repetition length is 3, and pause between groups of 3 is 1.

- Arachartal Benares Nauhakka 1 (see the Overview for other phrases you can use with this form)
Arachartal Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka/Chakradar Tihai–2 (2 avartans)
- Length of tihai = 29 (2 avartans plus sam)
- Length of phrase = 2.5
- Length of pause = 1 (within each group of 3 : x6 = 6)
Math: 2.5 x 9 = 22.5 + 6 = 28.5 (finishes on 29)
This nauhakka is a variation of Nauhakka–1 above (2-avartan version). It uses the same phrase, but the gaps in between are different.
Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–2 Structure:
Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–2 Example:
Arachartal Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka/Chakradar Tihai–3 (2 avartans)
- Length of tihai = 29 (2 avartans plus sam)
- Length of phrase = 2.75 or 11 quarter-matras
- Length of pause within groups of 3 = .5 or 2 quarter-matras (x6 = 3 or 12 quarter-matras)
- Length of pause between groups of 3 = .25 or 1 quarter-matra (x2 = .5 or 2 quarter-matras)
Math in matras: 2.75 x 9 = 24.75 + 3 + .5 = 28.25 (finishes on 29)
Math in quarter-matras: 11 x 9 = 99 + 12 + 2 = 113 (/4 = 28.25)

Sam-to-Sam Nauhakka Tihai–3 Example:
Arachartal Simple Chakradar
- Length of chakradar: 29 (2 avartans plus sam)
- Length of repetition: 9.5
- Length of mukhra: 2
- Length of tihai: 7.5
- Length of tihai phrase: 2.5
- Length of pause between repetitions: 0
In chakradar tihai forms, each repetition has both a mukhra (opening) plus a tihai. So we have to do the math for the overall chakradar, for the mukhra-tihai division of the repetition, and for the repetition’s tihai.
Math:
- Overall Chakradar Math: 9.5 x 3 = 28.5 (finishes on 29)
- Repetition Math: 2 (mukhra) + 7.5 (tihai) = 9.5
- Tihai Math: 2.5 x 3 = 7.5
(Note: This is the same structure used for the Simple Chakradar in rupak tal.)

Simple Chakradar Example 2:
The Simple Chakradar form in arachartal can also be performed at double the length of the form above (4 avartans instead of 2). The total length is now 57 matras, the main repetition is 19 matras, and the pause is 0 matras.
Math for 2-avartan Sam-to-Sam Tihai–2: 3 x 19 = 57
