About Peshkar 2

This Farrukhabad peshkar is a very well known theme made famous by Ahmedjan Thirakwa Khan. It is perhaps the only peshkar theme which is known by almost all tabla players. Chhotelal Misra published this particular version in his theory book Tal Prabandh.

There are many slight variations to this theme across different gharanas, and there may be differences in the spoken bols used. But most of them are very similar, if not the same.
